Postgraduate students of the Department of Mass Communication, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), have celebrated the elevation of their Head of Department (HOD), Dr. Christiana Shade Ade-Johnson, to the rank of Associate Professor.

The students, in a congratulatory message, described the promotion as a well-deserved recognition of her exceptional contributions to teaching, research, mentorship and academic leadership, noting that the achievement reflects years of dedication and commitment to scholarship.

They said Dr. Ade-Johnson's elevation was not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for the Department of Mass Communication, the Faculty of Arts and the entire AAUA community.

According to the postgraduate students, the newly promoted Associate Professor has consistently demonstrated excellence in academic service through her passion for advancing knowledge, mentoring students and fostering a conducive learning environment.

The students also commended her leadership as Head of the Department, saying her commitment to excellence has continued to inspire both staff and students while strengthening the department's academic reputation.

They expressed confidence that her elevation would usher in greater opportunities for impactful service, expanded academic accomplishments and continued contributions to teaching, research and community development.

The postgraduate students further prayed for greater achievements in her new academic rank, expressing optimism that her legacy of excellence would continue to flourish in the years ahead.

They congratulated the scholar on attaining what they described as the noble rank of Associate Professor, wishing her continued success in her academic career and leadership responsibilities.

Dr. Ade-Johnson, who holds Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), Master of Science (M.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees, is the Head of the Department of Mass Communication at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko. 

Her elevation to the rank of Associate Professor has been widely hailed as a testament to her dedication to scholarship, academic excellence and the advancement of Mass Communication education.
