Member representing Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ayodele Festus Adefiranye, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Minister of Interior Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and constituents following his emergence as the party's candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election.

Adefiranye, whose nomination has been forwarded to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), described his victory at the APC primary as a collective achievement made possible by the support of party members and the people of the constituency.

In a statement released to journalists on Monday, the lawmaker thanked God for what he described as a successful political journey and acknowledged the contributions of party leaders, traditional rulers, stakeholders, supporters, and residents of Ileoluji/Okeigbo and Odigbo Federal Constituency.

He also commended the leadership of the APC in Ondo State and party faithful for their commitment, prayers, and sacrifices before and during the primary election, saying their support was instrumental to his emergence.

Adefiranye further appreciated his media team for their professionalism and dedication throughout the campaign, describing their efforts as vital to the success recorded.

Reaffirming his commitment to effective representation, the federal lawmaker promised to build on his achievements by attracting more developmental projects and programmes to the constituency if re-elected.

"With a heart full of gratitude, I give all glory to Almighty God for His grace and faithfulness throughout this journey. I extend my deepest appreciation to the leadership of our great party, our traditional rulers, stakeholders, party faithful, supporters and the good people of our Federal Constituency for your overwhelming support during the just-concluded primary election," he said.

He added: "This victory is not mine alone; it belongs to every one of us. I reaffirm my commitment to serving you with humility, diligence, transparency and integrity. Together, we will consolidate on our achievements and continue to deliver meaningful dividends of democracy to our people."

The lawmaker also pledged to work for the victory of the APC and President Tinubu in the 2027 general election while appealing to party members and constituents for continued support and prayers.

Adefiranye reserved special appreciation for the Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing him as his leader and mentor whose guidance, encouragement, and unwavering support contributed significantly to his success.

He also extended an olive branch to other aspirants who contested the APC ticket, including former Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Iroju Ogundeji, Hon. Dr. Felder Olatunji Adeoye, Hon. Simisola Ajayi Fajemirokun, Hon. Olumoyegun Gbenga and Hon. Oyerinmade Mathew, urging all party members to put the contest behind them and unite for the progress of the constituency, Ondo State, and the APC ahead of the 2027 general election.
