The Minister of Youth Affairs, Ayo Olawande, has intensified mobilisation efforts ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election, calling on party members in Ondo State to unite and deliver overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 polls.

Olawande, who spoke during an interview with journalists, said the ruling party must remain united and focused on consolidating the achievements of the Tinubu administration through active participation in the forthcoming primary election.

He expressed confidence that APC members across Ondo State would turn out massively for the exercise, stressing that the state remains committed to the President’s re-election bid.

According to the minister, Ondo State has witnessed significant federal presence under the Tinubu administration through infrastructure development, healthcare interventions and political appointments.

He listed some ongoing projects in the state to include the dualisation of the Akure–Ore Road, the Akure–Ado Road project, the establishment of a teaching hospital institution in Akure, as well as federal support for the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) Teaching Hospital.

“The achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu speak for themselves, and Ondo State has been a direct beneficiary of his commitment to national development,” Olawande stated.

He noted that the projects were clear indications of the Federal Government’s determination to improve infrastructure and strengthen healthcare delivery across the state.

The minister further described the level of representation currently enjoyed by Ondo State in the Federal Executive Council as unprecedented.

According to him, the state now has three serving ministers in the Federal Executive Council in addition to ambassadorial appointments occupied by indigenes of the state.

“For the first time in our history, Ondo State has three members in the Federal Executive Council. This is unprecedented. It shows the President’s belief in our capacity and our role in building the Nigeria of our dreams,” he said.

Olawande maintained that the appointments and projects reflected the confidence the Tinubu administration has in Ondo State and its contributions to national development.

He urged APC members across the state not to relent in supporting the administration, describing the forthcoming presidential primary as crucial to sustaining the current development agenda.

“We are ready. Ondo State is ready. We will stand united to ensure that the President returns to office to continue the good work he has started,” the minister added.
