Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corps, have rescued three health workers who were earlier abducted in Akure South Local Government Area of the state.

The rescue operation, which took place in the early hours of the morning, followed coordinated efforts by the corps’ Rapid Response Squad after receiving intelligence on the whereabouts of the victims.

The Corps Commander, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed the development, noting that the health workers were freed at about 4:30 a.m. after a sustained search-and-rescue operation in the area.

According to him, the operation was part of a broader overnight security response aimed at tracking criminal elements believed to be responsible for the earlier abduction of the medical personnel.

The rescued victims have since been taken to an Amotekun medical facility, where they are currently receiving treatment and undergoing evaluation after the traumatic experience.

Adeleye assured residents that security operatives are intensifying efforts to ensure the arrest of the fleeing suspects, while urging the public to continue providing timely and credible information to aid ongoing operations across the state.
