‎The agrarian community of Isua-Akoko, headquarters of the Akoko South East Local Government Area, has been thrown into mourning following the abduction and murder of Ojo Gbara, popularly known as 'Obesere', a respected youth leader in the area.

‎Asiwaju (Dr.) Adegboyega Adefarati, representing the people of Akoko South East and South West Federal Constituency expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss, describing it as a devastating blow to the family and the entire community.

‎In a statement released by his media office, he extended condolences to Ojo’s family, friends, and residents of Isua-Akoko.
‎
‎Ojo’s death is a stark reminder of the rising insecurity in the border regions of Ondo State. “This heinous act is unacceptable and calls for urgent action from both the government and security agencies,” Adefarati media aides said.
‎
‎The Honourable Member condemned the abduction and killing in the strongest terms, calling for justice for Ojo and his grieving family. He urged law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to account.

‎Highlighting the growing insecurity along the Ondo-Edo boundary, Adefarati charged the government to adopt proactive measures to protect lives and property, particularly in vulnerable border communities.

‎Adefarati urged the people of Isua-Akoko to remain united and to channel their grief into collective action for a safer, more secure community, honoring Ojo’s memory through service and vigilance.

‎The statement reads "As a representative of the people, Asiwaju (Dr.) Adegboyega Adefarati is deeply saddened by the tragic loss of Ojo Gbara, a youth leader from Isua-Akoko. His heart goes out to his family, friends and community during this difficult time.

‎"Ojo's abduction and killing are a stark reminder of the insecurity in our border region. The Honourable Member condemns this heinous act and demands justice for Ojo and his family.

‎"The Honourable Member, therefore, urges the government to take more proactive action to address the rising insecurity, particularly along the Ondo-Edo boundary. He also charges the security agencies to leave no stone unturned in bringing the perpetrators to justice.
