Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all his political aides of their duties with immediate effect as part of efforts to enhance efficiency and deepen service delivery in the state.
The affected categories include all Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants attached to the Governor’s office.
The governor expressed appreciation to the outgoing aides for their contributions to governance and development in the state, wishing them success in their future endeavours.
As part of a wider restructuring, the administration announced plans to appoint about 1,000 new aides drawn from across the 203 wards in the 18 local government areas of Ondo State.
The move, according to the government, is aimed at strengthening coordination and injecting fresh capacity into governance.
The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, on March 30, 2026.
